The department of computer science of Annai Fathima college of Arts and Science organised an inter-collegiate seminar 'Alexa 2K23' on recent trends in the computer field was held as per the advice of college chairman Mr M. S. Sha and CEO Mrs. Shakeela Shah, in which students from more than fifteen colleges participated.
Prof. Karthika, Head of the Department of Computer Science, welcomed the gathering. Dr. M. Abdul Kadir, Principal of the college who inaugurated the seminar, appealed to the students to develop their skills in the field of Artificial Intelligence as this will rule the future world and will provide lot of job opportunities. He also pointed out that it has become impossible for humans to live without the computer knowledge.
Later, all the college students who came to participate in the seminar read out their research papers and displayed the posters and computer models they had prepared. Students enthusiastically participated in competitions like Face Painting, Techno Quiz, Fashion Parade, As You Like It, conducted in the seminar.
The twins Mr. Arun and Mr. Arvind of Vijay TV fame attended the session after the lunch break and gave an awareness speech to the students.
The participants of the seminar included the students from American College, Government Meenakshi College for Girls, Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy college, Mannar Thirumalai Nayakar College, Auxilium College, K. L. N. College, Saurashtra College, SRM College, Mangaiyarkarasi Girls College, Arul Anandar College, Sivakasi Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College, Rajapalayam Rajus College, Srivilliputhur V.P.M. M. College, Hajee Karutha Rowther college, Uthamapalayam, Kalasalingam college of Arts and Science, Krishnakoil. More than 450 students and 70 Assistant Professors Professors participated.
Among the colleges that participated in the seminar, Mannar Thirumalai Nayakar College won the first prize and American College won the second prize. Arun, Aravind, Natesa Pandian, Director of Administrative Management, Prof. Nasser felicitated the the prize winners. At the end Professor Ramanathan proposed vote of thanks.
