BJP's 2 vehicles will tour each LS seat in the state during the next 10 days to collect public petitions regarding preparation of its poll manifesto, said party South District President Vedanantham, Modakurichi MLA Dr Saraswathi and national committee member NP Palanisamy.
They told newsmen, the party chief Annamalai will inaugurate the vehicles at Chennai today. Besides, in each assembly segment, one box will be kept to receive the petitions to prepare the manifesto. Suitable demands and suggestions of public, received through the petitions, will be included in the state and national level manifestoes.
They refuted various charges of DMK including non allotment of adequate fund to the state and flood relief etc. Compared to the fund released by the previous UPA rule, 3 times of fund was allotted to the state by BJP rule.
The Centre offered Rs 900 cr flood relief and Rs 4000 cr for storm water drain for Chennai. They said that the state was in the top in the sales of ganja due to the involvement of DMK men themselves. Why the CM didn't speak on Jafer Sadhik, an international pedlar of drugs, who was suspended from the party, they asked.
