Halos Clinic, Chennai, has introduced ONDA PRO, an advanced non-invasive aesthetic platform developed by DEKA, Italy, and powered by its patented Coolwaves® microwave technology. The platform is designed to address localised fat reduction, improvement in the appearance of cellulite and skin tightening across the face and body. The introduction featured a live patient demonstration, with Francesco Badii, Head of DEKA International, Italy, and Neehar Gandhi, Director – Sales & Marketing, GeoMedics Pharma Pvt. Ltd., in attendance.

Speaking at the introduction, Dr. Prasanthi G, Halos Clinic, Chennai, said that aesthetic medicine is rapidly evolving and patients are increasingly seeking effective treatments with minimal downtime. She emphasised the importance of looking beyond marketing claims and evaluating the science, technology and clinical rationale behind aesthetic devices. According to her, ONDA PRO’s Coolwaves® technology and targeted energy delivery offer physicians flexibility in addressing concerns such as localised fat, cellulite and skin laxity, while appropriate patient selection and clinical judgement remain essential.

Francesco Badii, Head of DEKA International, Italy, said that Coolwaves® represents DEKA’s research and engineering approach to selectively delivering microwave energy to targeted tissue depths while protecting the skin surface through controlled energy delivery and cooling. Neehar Gandhi, Director – Sales & Marketing, GeoMedics Pharma Pvt. Ltd., added that India’s aesthetic market is becoming increasingly discerning, with physicians evaluating technologies based on engineering, R&D, clinical applications, training and long-term support. He said the partnership with DEKA aims to bring authentic technology to Indian aesthetic practice along with appropriate physician education and technical support.
