Divisional Railway Manager, Mr. P.Ananth, presented Safety Award to Mr. K.Karuppasamy, Keyman, Sivakasi in appreciation for his timely action and safety consciousness.
Mr. K.Karuppasamy, Keyman, Sivakasi while carrying out routine patrolling in between Srivilliputtur and Sivakasi on 23.05.2023 noticed heavy smoke from the rear coupled dead Loco - attached to the Train No. 16848 Sengottai - Mayiladuthurai Express. Immediately he informed this to duty Station Master, Srivilliputtur. Based on the information, on arrival of the train at Sivakasi Station check was carried out. During the check, brake binding in the rear Loco (dead) was found and rectified it there itself.
The award was presented to Mr. K.Karuppasamy, at the weekly Safety Meeting held at Divisional Railway Manger's office this week.
Mr. T. Ramesh Babu, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Ms. M.Praveena, Senior Divisional Engineer, North, Mr. R. Narayanan, Senior Divisional Engineer , Coordination, Mr. Mohaidheen Pitchai, Senior Divisional Safety Officer and other officers were present.
