Minister inaugurates first batch of Nandha Medical College

Housing Minister S Muthusamy inaugurated the first batch of the newly opened 300 - bedded Nandha Medical College and Hospital, near Erode on Saturday. 

It is 21st institution of the Nandha Educational Trust and has all facilities for both inpatients and outpatients, 25000 sq ft air conditioned library, hostels, modern labs and conference hall etc. 

In his speech, Muthusamy hoped the college would extend due medical service and quality education to public. He recalled the suffering of the people during Corona period and at that time, the CM ordered to extend due help to all. The cadres of the party extended Rs 5 cr worth benefit to public. If this kind of colleges functioned at that time, the public could have got more benefit. He said compared to other states, TN is far better in medical service and outlined the health services of the government including the Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam, Nammai Kakkum 48 schemes, etc.

Nandha College chairman V Shanmugan, secretaries Nandhakumar Pradeep, Thirumurthy, Dr MGR Education and Research University Vice Chancellor Dr Geethalakshmi, college Dean Dr A Chandrabose and medical superintendent Dr V Sundaravel attended.
