On 6th September, (Wednesday) the Internal Quality Assurance Cell & Entrepreneurship Development cell of Vivekananda College jointly organized a Students Entrepreneurship Development Programme on "PALM LEAF CRAFT TRAINING".
In which Dr.K.Chellapandian, coordinator , Entrepreneurship Development Cell welcomed the gathering, principal Dr.T.Venkatesan delivered the Presidential address, IQAC Coordinator, Dr.A.Satheeshbabu delivered the Felicitation address. Mr.D.Parthasarathi, Palm Craft Producer & Trainer and Mr.K.Yuvaraj, Organic Farming Trainer explained about their training section.
The trainers showed the students how to make palm leaf handicrafts like small box, key chain, toy as an alternative to plastic products and as a way to start a small business. Dr.M.Arulmaran, coordinator, Viveka Fine Arts Club delivered vote of thanks, B.Manickavasagar Yuthistran, III B.Sc Physics acted as Master of Ceremony of this program.
