The Association of Mutual Funds India (AMFI) and Securities and Exchange Board on India (SEBI) jointly celebrated the World Investor Week from 9-15th October 2023 which concluded with the Bharat Nivesh Run Marathon at Anna Stadium in Tiruchchirappalli (Trichy).
The Bharat Nivesh Run was flagged off by SEBI’s Chief General Manager Shri Rajesh Kumar Dangeti and Mr. Gururaj, Zonal Head - Investor Education-South, Aditya Bira Sun Life Asset Management Co. Ltd. The run comprised 419 participants in total, with 356 male and 63 female participants.
The Bharat Nivesh Marathon was organized across Jodhpur, Indore and Guwahati other than Tiruchchirappalli (Trichy).
Speaking on the occasion of World Investor Week, NS Venkatesh, Chief Executive, AMFI stated, “Investor Awareness is important in today’s day and age as we believe that financial well-being is a crucial component of individual and societal prosperity. The success of events like the World Investor Week and Bharat Nivesh Run reaffirms our commitment to fostering financial literacy and empowering investors.
