The Living Room, a multiple award-winning food joint in Chennai which set foot in Coimbatore 3 months ago, is experiencing a warm reception from patrons for offering delicious food and a delighting ambience for the whole family.
The Living Room is located near Suguna Kalyana Mandapam in Peelamedu. A press conference was held on Thursday where the establishment’s General Manager Narayanan, Partners Kamalakannan, Vijay and Chef met the newspersons to share their goals here.
“This is more like a family joint and not just a place for parties. Quality food, service and music are our top priorities. Families are frequenting our establishment,” Vijay, one of the partners of The Living Room said.
The dining area is divided into two, one with an opulent open space set-up while another is an aesthetic, roofed, air-conditioned area. Both offer some of the best dining experience. The total seating capacity here is 220.
The cuisines offered here include South Indian, Continental and Indian. The menu is prepared under the watchful eyes of Chef S. Kamalakannan (previously was a consultant for Hotel Amaranta of The Oberoi, Gurugram).
“We procure fresh meat every day. Fish comes from Kasimedu in Chennai, Mutton from Dindigul. We have not focused on fried foods. Rare dishes from the South Indian cuisine have been hand-picked, and they have become favorites of the patrons,” Chef Kamalakanna said.
Liquor is also served at The Living Room.
The joint operates from 12 noon to 11 p.m. daily. It has its own car parking space where 40 cars can be parked at once. A meal for 2 persons cost approximately Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 2000.
X-Mas and New Year Bash
Ahead of this year’s Christmas, The Living Room is offering special X-Mas brunch on the 24th of Sunday. The menu will include Turkey, Tiger Prawns, Plum Cakes and lot more.
On December 31st, The Living Room will be hosting its New Year Bash - a quality event for the entire family and it will feature some of the delicious food and live DJ. Only 250 slots are made available and they can reserve the passes online or by visiting the joint. The prices are set at Rs. 8000 for couples and Rs. 6000 for stags.
