Annai Fatima College student selected to participate in Delhi Republic Day Parade

The Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports  selects 40 students from engineering colleges, medical colleges, arts and science colleges, and polytechnic colleges in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands to participate in the Republic Day Parade to be held in New Delhi every year.

Accordingly, National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteer Ms. Sindhu Bhairavi, who is studying B.A., Tamil Literature at Annai Fatima College of Arts and Science, Tirumangalam, has been selected as one of the 40 volunteers and sent to Delhi from Chennai along with the rest of the team.

After attending the 20-day special training in New Delhi, she will participate in the Republic Day Parade on January 26. It is also noteworthy that she is one of the 8 students selected from Madurai Kamaraj University and that she has participated in various special camps of the NSS.

Mr. M. S. Sha, Chairman of the college, Mrs. Shakila Sha, Cheif Executive Officer, Dr. M. Abdul Kadir, Principal, Dr. Muniyandi, NSS Programme Officer & Head of the Department of Tamil, and Professors Balaraj, R. Karthika, S. Karthika, Srinivasan, Ramaththai, Jothi, Inbamery, and Arumuga Jothi congratulated the student.

College principal Dr. Abdul Kadir also thanked Mr. Sayeeram , Regional Director, Youth Welfare Department, Govt. of India, Dr. Senthilkumar, the state NSS officer and Dr. Pandi, NSS coordinator, Madurai Kamaraj University for selecting the student to participate in the Republic Day Parade and for helping with the travel arrangements.
