Nehru Yuva Kendra and Win Star Youth Welfare Forum jointly organized a green event at Melur Old Sukkampatti in Madurai district. Through this, 500 palm seeds will be sown and 1000 seed balls will be sown in Old Sukkampatti. The ceremony was inaugurated by planting a mango tree today.
Social activist Ashok Kumar presented the palm seed clusters and Kallanai Green Group founder Selvam received it. Dentist Nagaraj also explained to the children about dental care after sprinkling seed balls. Theatre actor A.V.Vasudevan read out the resolution to set up a small library in Pazhayasukkampatti village and social activist Senthil and Vasantha received it.
At the end of the program, Win Star youth sowed 100 palm seeds and made the public aware of the benefits of the palm tree.
