The 30th anniversary function of Erode Kongu College of Arts and Sciences was held.
Kongu College of Engineering Chancellor AK Ilango delivered the welcome address for the ceremony. Dr. H. Vasudevan, principal of the college, read the annual report. Dr. R. Kumaraswamy, President of Perundurai Kongu Velalar Technical College Foundation, delivered the keynote speech.
Foundation Secretary P. Sathyamurthy Treasurer K. Wiravishankar College Principal PT Thangavel Kongu Matriculation High School R M. Devaraja Polytechnic College Principal A. P Satchidanandhan, ER Karthikeyan, P Sipalanichamy, VP Sivasubramaniam and RK Viswanathan, traditional guardians of Venkatachalam Trust, presided.
Bar Speaker Kongu Tamilini 7.Santhamani from Coimbatore was the special guest for the function and delivered a special speech. In his speech, he said that the students are doing a service to the society by maintaining the culture and tradition and respecting their parents.
Later, special awards were given to the students who excelled in various events such as education, arts, special talents and all teachers and non-teaching staff. Dr. KM Kumaraguru is the coordinator of the annual function for the event. He thanked. Earlier there was an art show by the students.
