BLOSSOM organised a TB awareness and general medical camp for the welfare of inmates in Madurai Central Prison on 22.03 2024. Thiru T. Palani, Deputy Inspector General of Prisons and Correctional Services and Thiru. M. Sathish Kumar inaugurated the function.
Doctors from Harsini Hospital and Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospital participated in the camp and provided general medicine, eye, ear, nose and throat medical treatment to the prisoners. Madurai Blossom Trust Director Smt. T. Mercy Annapoorani gave opinions on TB and physical health.
Later, Madurai District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit Programme Manager Shri. Prof. Jayapandi delivered a special lecture on TB and HIV. In this camp, 249 convict and remand prisoners participated and benefited.
