On the occasion of Maha Shivratri, special abhishekam, collective worship, special annadhanam and Bharathanatyam were performed in various Shiva temples in the district.
On the occasion of Sivarathiri, the students of Roopavathi, a dance teacher of Tamil Natya School, organized a Bharatanatyam performance at Choleeswarar temple on the banks of Cauvery. A large number of students participated and worshipped Lord Shiva through Bharatanatyam.
