A drug awareness camp was held at Thiru Irudaya Arts and Science College in the city in collaboration with the Chola Foundation Narcotics Intelligence Unit police.
S. Innasi Muthu presided over the function. Earlier, Assistant Professor Karthika delivered the welcome address. S Benazir Fatima, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Narcotics Intelligence Unit, participated as a special invitee and spoke on the ill effects of drug use. Nehru Yuva Kendra District Nominee R. Muthukumar, Chola Foundation Project Director Assistant Professor K. Radhakrishnan, National Youth Awardee including A. Marimuthu many iparticipated.
More than 400 college students participated in the event. At the end of the program, Duraipandi delivered the vote of thanks.
