Erode District, J. K. K Muniraja Agricultural Science College students of fourth year (Sarvatha.K, Sharmila.M, Sneha.D, Sneha.S, Someshwari.S, Sri Mayalakshmi. N. K, Sri Darshini.R, Subatra.M, Sukhindra.K, Sujitha. C) Under the Rural Agricultural Training Scheme they are living in Poolampatti and doing field training.
As a part of it, farmers based in Poolampatti were introduced to the process of improved farming methods - selection of paddy seed (fertile and non-fertile seeds) by egg floatation technique. Also, they highlighted the important features of the seed ball to germinate tree seeds in barren lands with minimal maintenance, to avoid insect and bird droppings and retain moisture.
