The Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Puducherry is set to host a for the SERB Sponsored One Week Karyashala High End Workshop titled “Immersive Technologies and Wearable Devices for Industrial and Engineering Applications” (ITWDIEA 2024) from 13-05-2024 to 19-05-2024.
The workshop, aimed at furthering advancements in these fields, which is inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Prof. K. Sankaranarayanasamy, NIT Tiruchirappalli on 13.05.2024 in the presence of Dr. G.S. Mahapatra, Dean Research and Consultancy, NIT Puducherry. Director Dr. Makarand Madhao Ghangrekar and Registrar Dr. S. Sundaravarathan wished the coordinator for grand success of this workshop.
Dr. M.V.A Raju Bahubalendruni, Coordinator presented the welcome address to the gathering and explained the scope of One Week Karyashala High End Workshop. Dr. K. Sankaranarayanasamy, Professor, NIT Tiruchirappalli, delivered his Chief Guest address and discuss the transformative potential of immersive technologies in industrial contexts. These cutting-edge tools, including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR), are revolutionizing the way we work, train, and collaborate in the industrial landscape.
Deans, Associate Deans, HoD’sm, Faculty and Staff of all departments are presented in the inauguration event. 25 Participants from various institutions among our nation are keenly participated to enhance their knowledge further. 12 Resource persons from IITs, NITs, IISER and other premier institutions throughout the nations are going to deliver their expert talks on this theme. Dr. J. Ronald Aseer, coordinator of workshop, conveys vote of thanks for the inaugural ceremony and finally, the inauguration was concluded with National Anthem.
