Sam Michael assumedcharge as Director of ICM, Madurai

Shri.K.Sathia kumar Sam Michael has assumed charge as a Director in the Institute of Cooperative Management (ICM), Chinnaudaippu, Madurai on 30th April 2024. ICM, Madurai is one of the 20 premier training academies established under the National Council for Cooperative Training (NCCT), Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India to impart training to in-service government officers of cooperative departments and the officers and the managerial staff of Cooperative Institutions and societies across the state.  

Shri .K.Sathiakumar graduated from Sowrashtra College Madurai and secured his Post Graduation in Computer Application from the prestigious Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai. He served in different capacities in the training units of NCCT in Trivandrum, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Chennai and the HQ, New Delhi. While serving as a Deputy Director in NCCT, New Delhi, he was deputed to the newly formed Ministry of Cooperation, GOI and  worked with a team of senior officers in drafting the Model Bylaw for PACS.  

He also served as a Senior Lecturer at the National Institute of Financial Management, Min. of Finance, Govt of India. He is recognized as a certified trainer for financial cooperatives by C-PEC, BIRD, Lucknow and completed FDP in IIM, Ahmedabad. His specialization includes System Analysis and Design, MIS and Strategic Management. He has a training experience of 35 years.
