A Blood donation camp was arranged at Prayer hall of Vivekananda College on 4th July 2024, Thursday. This program was jointly organized by the Coordinators & Programme Officers of the Blood Donors Cell, NCC, NSS, YRC, and RRC at Vivekananda College premises.
The program was begun with college prayer followed by Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Capt. Mr. V. Rajendran NCC Officer welcomed the gathering. Presidential address was delivered by Dr. T. Venkatesan, Principal of the College and he highlighted the need of blood donation and its societal impact. Our Secretary, Swamiji Vedananda, and Kulapathi Swamiji Adyatmananda jointly blessed the gathering.
A special address was given by Dr. M. Pandi, NSS Coordinator – Madurai Kamaraj University followed by Dr. P. Kumaragurubaran, M.B.B.S., District Health Officer, Madurai; Dr. R. Madhan M.B.B.S., Block Medical Officer, Vadipatti Block, Madurai; Dr. N. Kisha Mahesh, Incharge Medical Officer, Melakkal. This programme was successfully accomplished with the aid of Mr. A. Muthuraj, Block Health Supervisor; Mrs. A. Nithyakalyani Community Health Nurse, Mrs. N. Vijaylakshmi, Sector Health Nurse; Mr. C. Ramakrishnan, Health Inspector; Mr. N. Iniyakumar, Health Inspector; Mr. P. Sathish Health Inspector; Mrs. K. Malar, Village Health Nurse, Tiruvedakam and the doctor team, from Madurai Rajaji Hospital and blood bank of Usilampatti Madurai.
Dr. G. Rajkumar, NSS Programme Officer, proposed the formal vote of thanks and finally the program was signed off with National anthem. The entire program was actively hosted by Dr. G. Ashok Kumar, NSS Programme Officer.
