Integrated Communication Outreach Programme ICOP by Central Bureau of Communication started on Tuesday in Thanjavur culminated today with Yoga masters performing yogasanas.
In the valedictory session on Thursday, FPA Thanjavur Shri K Ravindran who coordinated the programme welcomed the gathering. FPO Tiruchirappalli Shri K Devi Padmanabhan in his introductory speech said that the ICOP was inaugurated by Thanjavur Mayor Shri Sun Ramanathan on Tuesday. Press Information Bureau CBC Addl Director General Shri M Annadurai who presided over the inaugural function, he added. He pointed out that Indian Overseas Bank had disbursed loans worth Rs one crore 10 lakh to beneficiaries. He urged students to utilize various government schemes and become job givers using skill training and startup and startup schemes.
Thanjavur Deputy Mayor Dr Anjugam Bhupathy in her chief guest address said that people should utilize awareness programmes on government welfare schemes. She urged people to know more about social welfare schemes like Pudumai Penn and Tamil puthalvan schemes which ensures Rs 1000 per month for students who have finished school education in govt or govt aided schools and pursue higher studies. She pointed out that Selva makal savings scheme should be utilized by public which is beneficial for girl child. Akashwani Trichy newsreader and poetess Smt Jaigeetha Ravi in her special speech said that information is power and up to date information is important for children. She urged students to listen to radio news so that they can be aware of what is happening and govt schemes. She asked students to utilize awareness programmes of govt schemes and progress in life with self-confidence. Akashwani Trichy newsreader Shri Punitaraj in his special address said that students can benefit by being aware of various govt schemes. He urged them to listen to radio news or read newspapers so that they can face any competitive exams. He gave practical training for reading news which was welcomed by Visual communication students.
Vivekananda Yoga centre yoga master Dr Sridhar performed various yogasanas and spoke about importance of yoga. He performed various yogasanas which are useful for students to concentrate and safeguarding health. FPA Shri S Arunkumar rendered vote of thanks.
Cloth bags were distributed all the visitors to stress prevention of usage of one time use plastics.

Special exhibition to remember the valour and sacrifice of Indian soldiers were displayed to remember Kargil Day.
