The MEPZ Special Economic Zone held its Unit Approval Committee (UAC) meeting on July 8, 2024, to discuss and approve various proposals aimed at fostering growth and development within the SEZ. The meeting, chaired by senior officials, saw active participation and deliberation on several key issues.
During the meeting, a total of 19 proposals in SEZs were approved, with an investment proposal amounting to ₹253.66 crores and the creation of 1679 new jobs.
Notable approvals include Teleperformance Global Business Pvt Ltd from ITES sector, with an investment of ₹15.08 crore and expected to create 1128 jobs; Caterpillar India Engineering Solutions Pvt Ltd with an investment of ₹211.76 crores and expected to create 196 jobs; Infinix Services Private Limited from ITES sector with an investment of ₹9 crores and expected to create 165 jobs and NB Mediatech Private Limited, with an investment of ₹2 crores and expected to create 100 jobs.
The proposals approved highlight the continued interest of investors in the MEPZ SEZ, with a significant focus on increasing investment and employment opportunities within the zone.
