Central Bureau of Communication under Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting organized three day integrated communication outreach programme on government welfare schemes at Thanjavur. Thanjavur Mayor Shri Sun Ramanathan inaugurated the multimedia photo exhibition on Tuesday. Mayor said that IT park being started in Thanjavur will benefit youth. He urged people to utilize various government welfare schemes. He said that Thanjavur is the rice bowl of Tamil Nadu and such awareness programme for farmers will be beneficial. He pointed out that Thanjavur is moving forward as a city corporation and various government schemes are being implemented.
CBC and Press Information Bureau Additional Director General Shri M Annadurai in his presidential speech urged people particularly students to utilize government welfare schemes by getting awareness. He pointed out that various schemes are being implemented by government for progress and development of people.
FPO Tiruchirappali Shri K Devi Padmanabhan delivered welcome and introductory address. He said that the ICOP will be organized till July 25. In the programme one crore 10 lakh 26000 loan was disbursed to 14 SHG loans. IOB Regional manager Shri Nageswara Rao, Chief Manager Aswath Raman, ICDS PO SMt Rajeswari, DD TB Dr Madhavi, RSETI Director SMt Angayarkanni, District Child Protection Officer Shri Ranjith Kumar spoke. FPA Thanjavur Shri K Ravindran coordinated the event. FPA Trichy Shri S Arunkumar rendered vote of thanks. Various departments like Postal Dept, Social welfare dept, ICDS, Child protection, RSETI, Agriculture, TB department set up stalls as part of awareness programme. Aadhar update correction camp is also organized by Postal dept. Song and Drama registered troupe Chandratilaga performed awareness programme.
