Integrated Communication Outreach Programme by CBC inaugurated at Coimbatore

Coimbatore Member of Parliament Dr Ganapathy P Rajkumar inaugurated integrated Communication Outreach Programme ICOP by Central Bureau of Communication Chennai at Police Community Hall Coimbatore on Tuesday. He said that people should make use of various govt welfare schemes and progress. 


Press Information Bureau Additional Director General Shri M Annadurai in his presidential address said that the ICOP will be organized till August 31 to create awareness about various central government schemes. He urged public and students to make use of the awareness programme and utilize the opportunities to progress. He pointed out that various govt department officials will address the audience about specific govt schemes beneficial to people. Earlier he flagged off awareness rally by students on govt welfare schemes. 


Smt Leela Meenakshi Director CBC Chennai in her keynote address urged the students to utilize various govt welfare schemes. She asked them to make use of the opportunity and listen to the awareness speeches of experts who are speaking on various themes. Coimbatore Postal Zone Sr   Postal Supdt Shri K Shiv Shankar, Coimbatore Lead Bank Manager Shri PP Jithendran, Nabard Bank Asst General Manager Shri Tirumal Rao,  FLC Shri Ravi addressed on various themes.


Field Publicity Officer Trichy Shri K Devi Padmanabhan welcomed the gathering.  Technical Asst CBC Chennai Shri M Murali rendered vote of thanks. Technical Asst CBC Coimbatore Shri S R Chandrasekharan, FPA Dharmapuri Shri Thyagarajan FPA Trichy Shri S Arunkumar coordinated the event. Prizes and certificates were given to students who won in various competitions on govt welfare schemes.


In the evening village awareness programme held was held at community Hall S Mettupalayam Pirivu Kovilapalayam near Kinathukadavu. Coimbatore CBC Technical Asst Shri S R Chandrasekharan welcomed the gathering. FPO Trichy Shri K Devi Padmanabhan in his keynote address spoke about various govt schemes for the welfare of farmers especially PMKisan Samman Nidhi and Soil Health Carad, Crop insurance. He pointed out that India was one of the very few countries which were self-sufficient in food security during covid period thanks to the efforts of farmers. Coimbatore LDM Shri Jithendra, Canara Bank FLC Shri Revi, Shri Sarath from Bureau of Indian Standards, S Mettupalayam panchayath president Shri Santhakumar Shri Guru Prasad pharmacist from Jan Aushadhi addressed on various themes. FPA Trichy Shri Arunkumar rendered vote of thanks. Saplings were given to farmers. Prizes were given to students who won in various competition.
