Parvathy Hospital successfully hosted the 5th edition of its
annual Walkathon today, themed “Inclusion for All,” at the MIT Sports Ground,
Chromepet. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd of over 5,000 participants from
all walks of life, celebrating diversity and unity through physical activity.
The Walkathon, which featured 1 KM, 3 KM, and 5 KM routes, was designed to accommodate participants of all abilities, including individuals with physical and visual disabilities, pregnant women, senior citizens, and those with limited mobility. Over 100 physically challenged and mentally disabled children, accompanied by their parents, also took part in the Walkathon. The event focused on fostering inclusivity, making it a heartwarming display of community spirit and support for those overcoming physical challenges.
Pallavaram Constituency Member of the Legislative Assembly,
E. Karunanithi, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Tambaram Corporation
Commissioner C. Balachander and the Dean of Madras Institute of Technology,
Chromepet (MIT), were present as Guests of Honor. Actress and singer Andrea
Jeremiah interacted with the crowd, motivating participants to embrace the
event’s message of unity and perseverance.

Hospital, expressed his gratitude to the participants: "This year’s
