Martin Group Provides Relief Packs to More than 70,000 Flood Affected Families in Puducherry, Cuddalore and Villupuram Districts

Martin Group, one of India’s leading conglomerates spanning over 12 industries, has stepped forward to support families affected by the recent Fengal floods in Puducherry. More than 70,000 families from the state of Puducherry and the districts of Villupuram and Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu to benefit from this initiative.


Leema Rose Martin, Director, Martin Group, along with Jose Charles Martin, Managing Director, Martin Group flagged off the truck carrying the essentials worth ₹5 crores in the presence of John Kumar, MLA, Kamaraj Nagar. 


Speaking on the occasion, Jose Charles Martin, Managing Director, Martin Group, said, “Supporting communities in times of crisis is a core part of our mission. We remain committed to making meaningful impact through initiatives in education, healthcare, environment and community development for a better tomorrow.”


The Relief packs contained rice, dal, sugar, atta and other essential groceries to help ease the burden on the affected families. Known for its proactive approach to community welfare, The Martin Group has always been in the forefront in extending support during natural calamities. For Gaja cyclone of 2018, the group donated ₹5 crore to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s relief fund and gave relief materials worth ₹2.94 crores. As the world was battling the pandemic in 2020, the group donated medical equipment and relief materials to the tune of ₹12 crores. Recently, it had donated ₹ 2 crores to the Kerala Government for the rehabilitation of landslide victims of Wayanad.



This latest initiative underscores Martin Group’s dedication to extending support during challenging times and fostering resilience within communities.
