As part of the Rozgar Mela Tranche-14, more than 71,000 appointment letters were handed over to successful candidates across India on December 23, 2024, including Tamil Nadu. A total of 458 candidates from the state were appointed during major events held in Avadi, Chennai, and Sivagangai District.
At the CRPF, Avadi, 413 candidates received appointment letters in the presence of Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, Hon'ble Minister of State for Rural Development and Communication. He personally interacted with the appointees, congratulating them on their achievement and encouraging them to contribute to the nation’s development. Senior officials from CRPF and other dignitaries from CAPFs and government departments were also present at the event.
Simultaneously, in Sivagangai District, the Rozgar Mela was held at the Recruits Training Centre of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Illupaikudi. 45 appointees from various departments, including CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, Indian Railways, and others, were handed over their appointment letters by Shri Bhupatiraju Srinivasa Varma, Hon'ble Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the events via video conferencing, congratulating the appointees and recognizing their hard work and dedication. He emphasized the government's focus on generating employment and ensuring that the youth have meaningful opportunities to contribute to nation-building.
