Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) is pleased to announce the launch of IndiGo’s direct flight from Chennai to Penang, with the inaugural flight scheduled for the 21st of December 2024. This milestone marks a significant step in strengthening the relationship between Penang and India.
The new route further cements PCEB’s ongoing efforts to enhance connectivity and foster closer ties between the two regions.
In addition to the Chennai-Penang direct route, IndiGo will also operate flights from Madurai to Penang via Chennai, providing even greater accessibility to Penang for travelers from South India.
Passengers can enjoy a one-way fare starting from INR 12,300, inclusive of a 30kg baggage allowance, making these flights an attractive option for both leisure and business travelers.The new direct flight from Chennai and the connecting route from Madurai are poised to strengthen Penang’s tourism and economic ties with India.
