The NITT Global Alumni Meet 2025 brought together over 1,500 alumni from across the globe here. Dr. N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Group, Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Minister for IT and Digital Services, Government of Tamil Nadu and other prominent alumni of the institute spoke on the occasion. Aiming to raise Rs. 100 crores over the next five years, these initiatives will support scholarships, research projects, and startup ventures, reflecting RECAL's dedication to empowering future leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. N. Chandrasekaran, highlighted the global challenges and opportunities in renewable energy and sustainability. He stated, “While significant progress has been made in renewable energy adoption, the global carbon emissions target remains a challenge due to rising energy demands and technological advancements such as AI and data centers.”
Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan praised NIT Trichy’s institutional culture, saying, “It is remarkable to see the alumni’s success across diverse sectors, showcasing the institution’s ability to nurture character, perseverance, and excellence.”
