As part of the celebration of National Science Day, the Breakthrough Science Society (BSS) of Madurai Chapter, in collaboration with the Physics Department of Sri Meenakshi College for Women, successfully organized a two-day workshop on Digital Electronics Circuit Design on the 3rd and 4th of March, 2025. The event was inaugurated in the esteemed presence of Dr. Nagarani, Head of the Department, and Dr. Selvarani, Associate Professor and Executive Committee Member of BSS.
The workshop commenced with a keynote address delivered by Dr. M. Abdul Kadir, Former Principal of WBC and President of Madurai Breakthrough Science Society. Dr. Kadir's insightful speech set the tone for the event, highlighting the importance of digital electronics in modern technology.
Prof. Jawahar, Retired Principal of VSVN Polytechnic College, captivated the audience with his talk on the history of electronics, providing a comprehensive overview of the field's evolution. The workshop featured theoretical and practical sessions conducted by Prof. Yogarajan and Dr. Kayathri, who shared their expertise and guided participants through hands-on activities.
Student volunteers Ms. Swetha, Ms. Krishnaveni, Mr. Arun Kumar, and Mr. Muralidharan from Mannar College and Ms. Bharathi of Meenakshi College, played a crucial role in providing on-the-spot assistance during the practical sessions, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for all attendees.
The workshop was a resounding success, fostering a deeper understanding of digital electronics circuit design among participants and inspiring future innovations in the field. The arrangements for the workshop have been made by Mrs. Hilda Mary, secretary of BSS, Madurai.
