HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company, India’s leading private sector general insurer, successfully conducted the grand finale of the second edition of the Insurance Awareness Awards Junior – Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Chapter 2025. As the lead insurer for these states under IRDAI’s State Insurance Awareness Programme, HDFC ERGO continues to drive financial literacy and insurance awareness at the grassroots level.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation of 530+ teams from Tamil medium government schools across 42 districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. After the thrilling preliminary and semi-finale rounds, the finale witnessed fierce contest among eight teams, with Kamaleswaran and Vikramadithya from Govt High School KK Nagar, Trichy emerging as the winner. Tanushree N and Rachitha M from Govt Girls HR SEC School Pauparapatti, Dharampuri secured a well-deserved first runner-up position, followed by Vinayaga Harihara Sabari and Jeeva S from Govt High School Nanjiyampalyam, Tiruppur securing the second runner up position. A remarkable 56 teams from Puducherry participated in the competition, showcasing their talent. Among them, eight teams advanced to the semi-finals, demonstrating exceptional skill and determination. Further elevating the city's presence, two teams secured a spot in the finals, highlighting Puducherry's strong performance in the tournament.
