Shriram Ilakkiya Kazhagam, the literary wing of Shriram group, one of India’s leading non-banking financial companies, is organizing Thirukkural Elocution, Drawing & Essay Contests 2025, the annual state-level competition from 12th July to 24th Aug. 2025, for School and College students across 12 centres covering Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The Madurai zone competition will be held at The Madura College on 2nd Aug. 2025. The contest at other cities will be held as follows: Chennai on 12th July 2025, Vellore on 13th July 2025, Tambaram @ 19th July 2025, Puducherry on 20th July 2025, Salem on 26th July 2025, Trichy on 27th July 2025, Nellai on 3rd Aug. 2025, Tanjore on 9th Aug. 2025, Thiruvarur on 10th Aug. 2025, Coimbatore on 23rd Aug. 2025, Erode on 24th Aug. 2025.

The contestants will be divided into 3 groups – Juniors (Classes: 6-8), Seniors (Classes: 9-12) and College (UG, PG, Engineering, Medical and Polytechnic students).
It is worth mentioning that Shriram Ilakkiya Kazhagam has been conducting this competition every year since 1988 with the view of enhancing awareness on the teachings of Thirukkural among the student community in the State.
