MEPZ Special Economic Zone has reported a dynamic first quarter for FY 2025–26 with a focus on multi-sectoral industrial development across the Tamil Nadu, Andaman, and Puducherry (TAP) region. MEPZ SEZ approved 4 new units at the recently concluded UAC meeting for the month of July chaired by Thiru. Alex Paul Menon, Zonal Development Commissioner.
Between April and June 2025, MEPZ SEZ approved 27 new industrial units across sectors such as manufacturing, IT/ITES, logistics, and warehousing. These approvals brought in a total proposed investment of ₹107 crores, alongside the creation of an estimated 4,310 new jobs.
This surge in job creation reflects MEPZ SEZ’s deepening commitment to building not just infrastructure and investment pipelines but livelihoods. From skilled tech professionals and logistics operators to manufacturing talent, the new roles span a wide range of profiles and will play a key role in supporting local communities.
‘At MEPZ SEZ, we see every new unit and investment as a building block for long-term regional transformation. Our focus is not only on attracting capital but also on enabling sustainable employment and fostering industrial diversity across the TAP region,’ said Thiru. Alex Paul Menon, Zonal Development Commissioner, MEPZ SEZ.
