Shiv Nadar University Chennai hosted its First Convocation Ceremony at the Justice Pratap Singh Auditorium, celebrating 404 graduates across Engineering, Commerce, and Science & Humanities. The event marked a significant milestone in the university’s journey, drawing graduates from 11 states and 1 union territory, showcasing its growing national presence.
Ms. Renuka Ramnath, Founder & CEO of Multiples Asset Management Ltd., delivered an inspiring Convocation Address, urging students to “act fearlessly” and “define success on their own terms.” Mr. Shikhar Malhotra, Trustee, Shiv Nadar Foundation, called the Class of 2025 “pioneers and changemakers,” recognizing their role in shaping the university’s foundation.
Chancellor R. Srinivasan emphasized education as a “powerful force for transformation,” while Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sriman Kumar Bhattacharya praised the graduates’ resilience and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to research-led, interdisciplinary education. Degrees were conferred to 257 engineering, 93 commerce, and 41 science & humanities students. The convocation also honored top achievers with gold and silver medals.
The event featured an academic procession, emotional moments, and a strong turnout of 1,200 attendees, including faculty, families, and industry guests. Graduates pledged to uphold the values of their alma mater and contribute meaningfully to society.
