With the rise in cybercrime targeting individuals over 50, Truecaller, the global communications platform, has partnered with Khyaal, India’s leading app for senior citizens, to enhance digital safety for the elderly.
This collaboration leverages Khyaal’s deep engagement with seniors and Truecaller’s advanced caller identification and spam protection technology. The goal is to build a secure and trustworthy communication environment, empowering India’s elderly to navigate the digital world with greater confidence.
As part of the initiative, all Khyaal members will receive an exclusive 50% discount on Truecaller Premium, unlocking enhanced spam blocking and fraud protection features. Beyond technology, the partnership emphasizes education: Khyaal and Truecaller will co-create dedicated content, including “New Scam Highlights” sessions, interactive “Spot the Scam” workshops, expert guidelines, and real-life testimonials from seniors who successfully avoided scams.
These resources will be available both on the Khyaal app and through offline engagements, such as the upcoming "50Above50" event. This event will feature hands-on safety booths and awareness sessions to equip seniors with practical digital literacy skills.
“The digital world offers incredible benefits, but also new threats for seniors,” said Rishit Jhunjhunwala, Global CEO, Truecaller. “Our partnership with Khyaal empowers seniors with both tools and knowledge to protect themselves.”
Hemanshu Jain, Founder & CEO, Khyaal, added, “This partnership strengthens our mission to safeguard seniors from digital fraud. By combining awareness with robust tools like Truecaller, we aim to ensure their safety and independence.”
Together, Truecaller and Khyaal are setting a new benchmark in digital safety, fostering a safer, more informed, and empowered senior community across India.
