Tourism Pahang is strengthening ties with the Indian travel industry through the Pahang Roadshow to India 2025, happening on 24 September in New Delhi and 26 September in Chennai. This exclusive B2B initiative aims to boost travel and trade partnerships between Pahang, Malaysia’s largest state, and India, a top tourism source market.
Organised by Tourism Pahang, the roadshow includes business networking, destination presentations, and product showcases connecting Pahang tourism players with India’s leading travel agents, tour operators, airlines, media, and tourism associations. With over one million Indian tourist arrivals annually, India remains a key growth market for Pahang. Visa-free travel, excellent air connectivity, and shared cultural appreciation make Pahang increasingly attractive to Indian travellers. From Genting and Cameron Highlands, to Tioman and Cherating, and Taman Negara, Pahang offers diverse experiences for leisure travellers, families, honeymooners, and MICE groups.
“This roadshow is more than a promotional exercise – it is a platform to build lasting partnerships with India’s vibrant travel community,” said YB Puan Leong Yu Man, Chairman of the Pahang State Committee on Unity, Tourism and Culture. The delegation will include YB Arumugam A. Veerappa Pillai, Member of the Pahang State Legislative Assembly, Mr Kamaruddin bin Ibrahim, General Manager of Tourism Pahang, and Ms Nalini Letchumanon, Senior Manager, Promotion & Event Management, Tourism Pahang.
Tourism stakeholders, hoteliers, resort operators, DMCs, and product owners from across Pahang will join the roadshow. Each city programme will include a press conference and networking luncheon for Indian media and travel associations. The roadshow highlights opportunities in MICE, luxury and destination weddings, eco-tourism, rail tourism, heritage experiences, and slow travel. Tailored packages and co-marketing initiatives will support Indian outbound travel businesses.
