A Two-day Awareness Camp on Central Government Schemes at Ambasamudram

An awareness exhibition camp on various welfare schemes being implemented by the Government of India was held at Velsamy Marriage Hall in Ambasamudram on behalf of Central Bureau Of Communication, Regional Office, Chennai.


In this awareness camp, 25 to 30 panels depicting welfare schemes of the Central Government were put up.


Also  stalls were being set up on behalf of the Integrated Child Development Scheme, District Social Welfare Office, Agriculture and Department of Posts. The postal department carried out Aadhar enabled services.


Cultural Programmes highlighted the themes.


A large number of college and ITI students and also the general public visited exhibition. They also availed aadhar services.


There were two sessions, morning and afternoon. At each session, a presentation was given. Officials from two government departments participated and explained various schemes to the participants. This was followed by a question and answer session and the winners were also awarded prizes.


Prior to the Camp, Papanasam Thiruvalluvar College and Ambai College conducted elocution and painting competitions and the winners were selected. Prizes and certificates were given to the winners at the inaugural function.


Mr. Ayush Gupta, IAS, Sub Collector, Cheranmadevi inaugurated the Camp. It was held in the presence of Mr. Bala Nagendran, IIS, Assistant Directo, Central Bureau of Communication, Chennai. 

Other officials viz Assistant Project Officer of TNSNRLM, Assistant Director of Agriculture, Sr. Superintendent of Posts and CDPO were participated and delivered key note address.


Field Publicity Officer Mr. Gopakumar welcomed the gatherings and the Field Publicity Assistant Mr. Velmurugan who  compiled the program also proposed vote of thanks.
