Velalar College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous), as part of its Silver Jubilee Celebrations, successfully organized a innovation festival IDEA FEST’25 on 20th November 2025, the fest showcases the creative and technological talent of engineering students.
The day featured an impressive exhibition of innovative engineering projects developed by students from various departments of VCET. The event commenced with the formal welcoming of chief guests, followed by a series of department-level inaugurations across the campus. Around 320 projects were displayed, showcasing a wide range of cutting-edge prototypes and technology-driven solutions that received immense appreciation. A distinguished expert jury panel comprising IIT Alumnus cum PALS Delegate Mr. Ramaswamy K and Mr. Nagaraj Mukkonda, PALS Delegate Mr. Ramesh and Mr. Kesavan A (CEO, Quantarctica Techserv Pvt. Ltd., Madurai) visited and evaluated the project displayed in the IDEA FEST’25. Their insightful interactions and professional evaluation greatly enriched the learning experience of the student innovators. In recognition of the most outstanding and impactful contributions, prizes were awarded to the top-performing engineering student teams, encouraging them to further pursue research and innovation.
The fest attracted a continuous flow of student visitors, creating a vibrant and engaging learning atmosphere. Over 1,200 school students from various schools across the Erode district enthusiastically visited IDEA FEST’25, making the event vibrant and highly interactive.
