Coimbatore Young Riders Shine at Junior National Equestrian Championship

Rohan, Hasini, Yajath Sai, Deep Kukreti, Clifford, Manoj and Nithin - the talented young riders from Equine Dreams, have brought immense pride to Tamil Nadu by clinching Gold and Bronze medals at the Junior National Equestrian Championship 2025 – South Zone. The medals were secured in the highly competitive Children 1 (Under-14) and Children 2 (Under-12) categories, reaffirming the rising standard of junior equestrian sport in the state.


A press conference to share this recent success was held at Equine Dreams premises on Monday. Sakti Balaji, CEO of Equine Dreams and Bharathi, Director of Equine Dreams addressed the press and media. 


They said the students of Equine Dreams have been taking part in Junior National Equestrian Championship events for last 9 years and have been continuously bringing laurels. 


The 2025 championship which was held at the prestigious Embassy Riding School, Bengaluru, witnessed participation from some of the finest young equestrians across the southern states of India. 250 such talents competed. Going against strong contenders, the Equine Dreams riders impressed judges and spectators alike with their technical precision, balance, control, and composure, qualities that are crucial at the national level.


10 students of Equine Dreams took part in the event and have brought home 6 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals. Despite their young age, the riders displayed remarkable confidence and maturity in the arena, executing their rounds with discipline and sportsmanship. Their performances reflected not only individual talent but also the rigorous training, consistent practice, and expert guidance provided by Equine Dreams.


This achievement stands as a testament to the riders’ dedication, early morning training routines, and unwavering support from their coaches, parents, and the entire Equine Dreams team. The medals also highlight the growing popularity of equestrian sports among young athletes in Tamil Nadu and the state’s increasing presence on the national equestrian circuit.


Sakti Balaji further said that Coimbatore is among the top 3 top-performing cities in the national equestrian arena, and the students of Equine Dreams bag the most medals in Coimbatore.
