Flipkart has announced the eleventh edition of its flagship Samarth sale event, ‘Crafted by Bharat’ 2026, to be held on January 26, 2026, marking India’s 77th Republic Day. A dedicated storefront on Flipkart’s app and web will showcase 200+ traditional Indian art forms including Warli, Patachitra, Madhubani, Pichwai, terracotta, soft ivory wood toys, wooden crafts, handlooms and regional paintings. The sale will feature 1.8 lakh unique handicraft products created by 2,300+ artisans, weavers, NGOs, SHGs, emporiums, and women entrepreneurs, celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage.
Anchored in the Flipkart Samarth program launched in 2019, this edition highlights women-led enterprises from Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns such as Kannauj, Bhuj, Bhadohi, Hathras, Hisar, Madurai, Chitrakoot, Ramanagara, Ghazipur, Ujjain, Churu and Ratangarh. With participation from government and private brands, local businesses, and 300+ new sellers, the event is expected to positively impact over 1.9 million livelihoods across categories like furniture, furnishings, home décor, kitchenware, apparel, and lifestyle products.
Aprajeeta, Founder of CraftcartIndia and a Flipkart seller, highlighted how the ‘Samarth’ tag assures customers of authentic handmade products while enabling small entrepreneurs to compete with larger retailers through reduced commissions, cataloging support, and dedicated account assistance. Since its launch, Flipkart Samarth has supported over 7 million livelihoods, helping beneficiaries grow their businesses by up to 300% by providing inclusive access to a nationwide digital marketplace.
