Since Chennai is a strategically important market for advanced security needs, The new store offers a comprehensive range of modern security solutions designed for both residential and commercial customers.

The Chennai store showcases an extensive B2C home locker portfolio, designed to offer enhanced protection, higher storage capacity, and superior durability. These lockers are engineered to be 10x, to 250x stronger than regular cupboards, addressing the evolving security needs of modern households.
The store also showcases an extensive B2B and institutional security portfolio, including Defender Aurum Pro Royal, India’s first BIS-certified Class E safe, along with a range of high-security safes and vaults designed for banks, jewellery retailers, commercial establishments, and institutional clients.
Chennai continues to be a critical market for the brand, which currently commands close to 80% market share in the home locker category. Godrej’s Security Solutions business has built a strong statewide presence spanning over 40 districts in Tamil Nadu, supported by a wide retail and partner network that includes exclusive brand stores, dealer outlets, retail counters, COCO stores, and modern trade touchpoints.
The home security market in Tamil Nadu is growing at approximately 20% year-on-year, while the commercial and institutional security segment is expanding at around 8% year-on-year. Demand from Tier II and Tier III towns has also been on the rise, opening opportunities to strengthen penetration across suburban and semi-urban markets.
Going forward, the company aims to strengthen its footprint across Chennai, with a sustained focus on growing the home locker category while introducing advanced, high-security solutions for both residential and institutional customers.
