This Mother’s Day, Bandhan Mutual Fund launched its quirky and relatable campaign film ‘Lalla Don’t Buy’, giving a humorous twist to the traditional lullaby. The film showcases mothers lovingly advising their grown-up children to stop doom-scrolling shopping apps, sleep on time, avoid impulsive spending, and start investing for a secure future.
Speaking about the campaign, Vishal Kapoor said the campaign reflects how mothers have always encouraged thoughtful habits such as saving wisely and planning for tomorrow. Set against the backdrop of late-night scrolling, flash sales, and instant purchases, the film highlights a modern-day parenting truth — mothers never stop worrying about their children, even when they are financially independent adults.
Conceptualised by All In, the campaign blends humour, nostalgia, and insight to promote mindful financial decisions. Jane Sequeira said the idea came from reimagining lullabies for a generation hooked to online shopping and endless scrolling. Through a catchy and emotional narrative, ‘Lalla Don’t Buy’ aims to entertain audiences while encouraging smarter spending and long-term investing habits.
