As part of the celebrations marking the 52nd birthday of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam President Joseph Vijay, educational materials and welfare assistance were distributed to students and underprivileged residents in Vadugapatti near Periyakulam in Theni district.
The event was held at Sri Markandeya Weavers Middle School, where more than 200 students received notebooks, textbooks, pens, pencils, and other educational supplies to support their studies.
The programme was inaugurated by special guests Ram Pandian, Theni North District Youth Wing Organizer; Sheikh Ali, proprietor of Lucky Group; and Sabari Ganesan, Periyakulam North Union Secretary.
As part of the birthday celebrations, 52 saplings were planted on the school premises, symbolizing the Chief Minister’s 52nd birthday. Welfare assistance was also distributed to economically disadvantaged residents of the area.
The event arrangements were coordinated by Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam functionaries Venkateswaran and Santhosh Raja. A large number of party administrators, including representatives from Periyakulam town, Vadugapatti town panchayat, and the Youth Wing, participated in the programme and made the celebrations a success.
The organizers stated that the initiative aimed to combine the birthday celebrations with meaningful social service activities that benefit students and the local community.
