Ariyalur District Collector N. Mrunalini, Distributed Loan Sanction Orders Worth Rs.7.60 Lakh To 19 Transgender Persons To Help Them Start Self-Employment Ventures During The Grievance Redressal Day Meeting Held At The Ariyalur District Collectorate.
During The Meeting, The District Collector Received 632 Petitions From The Public Seeking Various Welfare Benefits, Including Old-Age Pension, Free House Site Pattas, Assistance For Persons With Disabilities, Business Loans And Green House Scheme Benefits. She Instructed The Concerned Department Officials To Take Immediate Action On The Petitions.
As Part Of The Social Welfare And Women Rights Department Initiatives, Financial Assistance Of Rs.40,000 Each Was Provided To 19 Transgender Beneficiaries Through The Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Mission To Enable Them To Become Economically Self-Reliant And Lead A Dignified Life. The Assistance Will Help Them Establish Various Self-Employment Ventures Such As Mobile Eateries, Fruit And Vegetable Vending, Goat And Cattle Rearing, Petty Shops, Mobile Snack Stalls, Mobile Juice Shops And Laundry Services.
The District Collector Advised The Beneficiaries To Effectively Utilize The Loans And Improve Their Economic Status Through Self-Employment.
Later, The District Collector Heard The Grievances Of Persons With Disabilities Who Had Submitted Petitions During The Meeting And Directed Officials To Take Immediate Action. On Behalf Of The District Differently Abled Welfare Office, She Distributed A Hearing Aid To One Beneficiary And An Elbow Crutch To Another Beneficiary.
