Grand “Raga Sangamam” Music Concert to Be Held in Coimbatore

The Coimbatore District Musicians Welfare Association has announced a grand musical event titled “Raga Sangamam” with the objective of supporting and improving the livelihood of musicians.


The programme is scheduled to be held on July 25 at the grounds of Hindusthan College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. Renowned playback singer P. Unnikrishnan will be one of the star attractions of the event.


Details of the programme were shared during a press conference attended by event coordinators Saravanakumar and Kannan, Raga Sangamam Deputy Secretary Anand, Coimbatore District Musicians Association President Samuel Rajan, Treasurer Vetrivel, and other organizers.


Speaking on the occasion, the organizers said the event is being conducted under the theme “Let Us Unite Through Music, Let Us Protect the Lives of Musicians.” They noted that the programme aims to support economically struggling musicians and raise awareness about their welfare.


The organizers further stated that, in addition to Unnikrishnan, several talented young singers who have gained recognition through popular television music reality shows will also perform at the concert.


They emphasized that the event is being organized collectively by musicians from Coimbatore district and expressed confidence that the programme would provide music lovers in the city with an unforgettable musical experience on the evening of July 25.


The organizers also appealed to the public and music enthusiasts to extend their support to the initiative, which seeks to promote the welfare and well-being of artists through the universal language of music.
