Sony India has unveiled its latest premium television lineup, the Sony BRAVIA 7II, introducing True RGB technology to the Indian market. The new series aims to deliver richer colours, deeper contrast and a more immersive home entertainment experience. Pre-bookings for select models commenced on Wednesday.
The BRAVIA 7II series is powered by Sony's proprietary RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro™ technology, which independently controls red, green and blue LEDs to achieve enhanced colour accuracy, deeper blacks and improved contrast. Combined with the Cognitive Processor XR™, the television is designed to reproduce images and sound in a manner that closely resembles human perception.
According to Sony, the RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro™ technology enables precise local dimming, reduces blooming effects and enhances picture quality across a wide range of content. The televisions also feature RGB Triluminos Max™ with Luminance Booster, delivering a broader colour spectrum and brighter visuals, while Smooth Colour Gradation ensures seamless tonal transitions between dark and bright scenes.
The company stated that the BRAVIA 7II marks Sony's first True RGB LED BRAVIA television range, offering cinema-grade viewing experiences even in brightly lit living rooms. Models measuring 65 inches and above are equipped with X-Wide Angle Pro technology, which maintains consistent colour and contrast across wider viewing angles.
The series will be available in 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch and 98-inch screen sizes. The 55-inch model carries an MRP of ₹3,59,900 and a Best Buy price of ₹2,21,990, while the 65-inch variant is priced at ₹4,39,900 with a Best Buy price of ₹2,74,990. The 75-inch and 85-inch models are expected to arrive by the end of June, while the flagship 98-inch model is slated for launch by the end of July.
Sony said the BRAVIA 7II series will be available through Sony retail stores, major electronics outlets and leading e-commerce platforms across India. The company has also opened registrations for customers interested in pre-booking select models.
With the launch, Sony seeks to strengthen its premium television portfolio under its "Cinema is Coming Home" vision, bringing advanced display technologies and cinema-quality entertainment experiences to Indian consumers.
