As part of an initiative to address public grievances promptly, the Tamil Nadu Police Department has been conducting special grievance redressal camps twice a week at police stations across the state, following instructions issued by Tamil Nadu Director General of Police (DGP) Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal.
According to the directive, all police stations conduct these camps every Wednesday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., during which police officials receive petitions directly from the public and initiate immediate action on their complaints.
In line with the DGP’s instructions, special camps were organized at the Dindigul Range Deputy Inspector General’s Office under the leadership of Dr. V. Sasimohan and at the Dindigul District Police Office under the supervision of Superintendent of Police S. Jayakumar. Similar camps were also held at all Deputy Superintendent of Police offices and police stations across the district.
At the Dindigul South Police Station, the special grievance redressal camp was conducted under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police Karthik. Inspector Ilanchezhiyan presided over the programme, while Sub-Inspectors Johnson Jayakumar and Muthukumar, Special Sub-Inspector Saravana Pandi, and other police personnel participated in receiving petitions from residents within the station limits.
Police officials assured the public that all written petitions submitted during the camp would be examined promptly and appropriate action would be taken after due inquiry.
The camp, held between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., witnessed participation from residents of various localities under the Dindigul South Police Station jurisdiction, who presented their grievances and sought solutions to their concerns.
Police authorities have also informed the public that similar camps will continue to be held every Wednesday and Saturday during the same hours and encouraged residents to make use of the initiative by submitting their grievances directly to the police for timely resolution.
