An awareness camp on Central Government welfare schemes was organized yesterday by the Central Bureau of Communication at Kattiganapalli Panchayat in Krishnagiri. The camp was inaugurated by Saraswathi, Block Officer of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS).
In her address, she highlighted that the Central Government is successfully implementing various public welfare schemes, particularly offering impactful programs focused on child welfare, student welfare, and women's empowerment. She noted that initiatives such as affordable medicines, insurance coverage, educational loans, nutritional powder, dietary supplements, and vaccinations are being actively provided for public well-being, and urged everyone to utilize these benefits.
Speaking at the event, Thiyagarajan, Field Officer for Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts, announced that a two-day special awareness camp will be held by the Central Bureau of Communication in Krishnagiri over the next two days. During this camp, services such as registration for the ₹5-lakh free health insurance card, [Aadhaar Redacted] card updates, worker ID card registration with ₹2-lakh accident insurance coverage, ₹3,000 monthly pension scheme registration for unorganized workers, and portal registration on the National Career Service for job-seeking youth will be conducted. He urged the public to attend and benefit from these services.
Following the addresses, prizes were distributed to women who won the quiz competition on Central Government schemes. Subsequently, Jayaganesh, Field Officer from the Vellore unit, flagged off the mobile publicity vehicle created to promote the two-day welfare scheme awareness camp.
Postal Division Development Officer Manikandan, Deputy Block Development Officer Subhashini, and several other officials were present at the event.
