As part of the chariot procession, Minister for Social Welfare and Women’s Rights, K. Jagatheeswari, and Minister for Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce, S. Keerthana, ceremonially pulled the chariot’s ropes and flagged off the procession.
The decorated temple chariot, carrying the processional deities Andal and Rangamannar, proceeded through the four car streets amid devotional chants and the enthusiastic participation of devotees. A large number of devotees from Srivilliputhur and neighbouring areas gathered to witness the spectacular procession.
The temple premises and the streets along the chariot route were adorned in a festive atmosphere to mark the occasion. The district administration and police department had made elaborate arrangements to ensure the safety of devotees and provide essential facilities during the festival.
District Collector Dr. N. O. Sugaputhira, IAS, Srivilliputhur MLA A. Karthik, and other officials and dignitaries participated in the event.
