Strong condemnation has been expressed by the All India Devar Peravai, led by former Usilampatti MLA P.V. Kathiravan, against Puducherry MLA Charles Martin, alleging that false and misleading reports have been circulated about Meenakshi Mission Hospital in Madurai.
The organisation stated that the hospital, founded by Dr. N. Sethuraman and currently functioning under the leadership of Dr. S. Gurusankar, has been providing quality medical services to people across southern Tamil Nadu.
The representatives urged a private news digital organisation to immediately remove what they described as false reports about the hospital and issue a public apology. They warned that if an apology is not issued, legal protests would be organised in all districts in front of the concerned organisations.
The community leaders also urged the Tamil Nadu government to conduct an appropriate inquiry into the matter and take necessary action.
