Seven major healthcare projects worth ₹3.39 crore (₹339.19 lakh) have been announced for the Kavundampalayam Assembly constituency under the Tamil Nadu Health and Family Welfare Department’s 2026–27 Demand for Grants, with the aim of improving healthcare facilities for the people of the constituency.

The projects will directly benefit 14 medical institutions and primary health centres in the constituency.

In particular, the Vilankurichi Urban Primary Health Centre will be upgraded into an Urban Community Health Centre, enabling residents of the constituency to access better medical services closer to their homes.

Medical equipment for the treatment of non-communicable diseases, advanced care and referral services will also be provided to the Thudiyalur and S.S. Kulam Primary Health Centres.

Several other initiatives have also been announced, including 14 basic free health check-ups in the Kavundampalayam and S.S. Kulam areas, mobile medical services for tribal communities in the Naickenpalayam area, and yoga and naturopathy services in the Sarkarsamakulam area.

Kavundampalayam MLA Kanimozhi Santhosh expressed her respectful gratitude to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay and Health and Family Welfare Minister Arunraj for providing these important healthcare projects to the constituency, with the welfare of the people as the priority.

She further assured that she would extend her full cooperation and take all necessary steps to ensure that the projects are implemented at the earliest and that the people of the constituency receive their full benefits.
