IFQM Symposium to Focus on India's Global Competitiveness Through Quality and Innovation

The Indian Foundation for Quality Management (IFQM) will organise the third edition of its annual two-day symposium in New Delhi on October 5 and 6, focusing on strengthening India's global competitiveness through quality, innovation and excellence.


The symposium, themed “Quality, Innovation and Excellence as India's Force Multiplier,” will bring together more than 300 CEOs and CXOs, international speakers and industry leaders. The event will feature over 25 sessions and 50 speakers covering national priorities, sectoral developments and strategies to enhance India's global standing.


The 2026 edition will introduce a dedicated Pharma and Life Sciences track, alongside an expanded focus on infrastructure. Discussions will explore India's transition from generic medicines towards innovative drugs and ways to develop infrastructure capable of supporting global leadership.


Industry leaders expected to participate include as Venu Srinivasan (Chairman Emeritus, TVS Motor & Chairman, IFQM), N. Chandrasekaran (Chairman, Tata Sons), Dilip Shanghvi (MD, Sun Pharmaceuticals), Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (Executive Chairperson, Biocon Group, (Virtual presence)), S.N. Subrahmanyan (Chairman & MD, L&T), TV Narendran (CEO & MD, Tata Steel), Dr. Randhir Thakur (CEO & MD, Tata Electronics), K.N. Radhakrishnan (Director & CEO, TVS Motor Company), Salil Gupte (President, Boeing India & South Asia), Dr. Randhir Thakur – Managing Director and CEO, Tata Electronics.


Key sessions will address India's emergence as a trusted global electronics hub, artificial intelligence in manufacturing and services, and strengthening quality standards across industries. The programme will also feature an exclusive discussion on translating boardroom strategies into measurable improvements on the shop floor.


Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu are scheduled to deliver keynote addresses alongside industry leaders.

Building on discussions from 2025, the symposium will also examine MSME capabilities, access to technology, finance and skills, and opportunities to strengthen exports and participation in global value chains.


The event will conclude with key takeaways from IFQM and representatives of TVS Motor Company and Tata Steel.
